Arts Council, The Whitaker Museum
We have been the artist in residence at The Whitaker Museum from May 2021 to 2022. Throughout that time produced a creative engagement programme called Explore! - allowing participants to create and curate an alternative museum throughout a year long performance piece. Alongside this we also delivered an Early Years Studio to engage with under fives and their families. To learn more click on the image above. |
Bury Metropolitan Arts, Friendship Circle
We developed and delivered a 6 week creative writing programme for Manchester's Friendship Circle as part of Bury Met's Seldom Heard Voices Project. The creative writing sessions were all inspired by local green spaces and nature. A book of poetry and prose will be produced from the work created throughout the project. OverspillCartwheel arts and Rochdale Youth Service.
We created a time machine and film that explored the creation of Manchester's overspill estates. The time machine was designed by local school children and the film was co-produced by young people from Darnhill, Rochdale. Audiences could watch the film from within the time machine, which was exhibited at the People's History Museum, Manchester. In addition, we have also written a story book for Ks1 children, allowing younger audiences to explore the Overspill Project. Watch the film by clicking on the image above. |
Peterloo 2019Touchstones, Manchester Histories and Cardinal Langley High School. We co-created a film with a group of young people from Middleton, exploring the themes and people of the Peterloo Massacre, 1819. The young people visited local studies' archives, created characters, produced questions, recorded sound and acted in the film which was then edited by us. The finished piece can be seen, with further details, by clicking the link above.

Carbon CleverCarbon Landscape Partners.
We have designed and produced a digital outdoor learning resource that teaches Ks2 children all about their local Carbon Landscape and the effect humans have had and still have on it. The resource also explores our general impact on nature and how we can make behavioral changes to reduce that impact. To learn more about the project click the image above. |
Heritage TreesCity of Trees.
We delivered a series of events in order to help people engage, interact and explore their woods, forests and tree lined green spaces. These included goblin hunts, storytelling performances, life drawing sessions, tree ID workshops, heritage volunteer training and educational workshops for KS1 and KS2 children.
